we gathered the first week of november for a mass on the border. people gathered on both sides of the fence to worship as border patrol helicopters circled overhead. that fence can feel so insignificant and so powerful at the same time...

i don't think anyone has ever used me as a costume idea before... but aaron pulled it off like a champ. he put on my dirty clothes and spent the whole night talking about ecuador and salsa dancing and even pulled his groin trying to do the splits.
